Winter is here and we are in a deep freeze. My skin hates it though and I am battling dry skin like crazy. I am learning more about this subject and this article is very good about Winter Dry Skin.

Healing Crisis
If you ever decide to eat better, juice and take better quality supplements, be aware that you could experience a healing crisis.
I believe that my body is now being healed from the inside out and that I am going through a healing crisis. This whole thing started when I started taking whole foods like chlorella and juicing more and just plain paying more attention to my food.
Here is a link that describes a healing crisis. I sure hope mine does not get this bad.

The Big Three for Me
Well, I gave up on my homeopathic treatment. It was taking far too long to see any results so I am going to try to heal myself based on my own research and the the help of the Holy Spirit.
Here's the Big Three I am concentrating on this Fall:
Bio-Chlorella
HMF Forte (probiotic)
Vitamin D
If I am consistent with the above, I am sure to see results.
I will also add: Swiss Cal/Mag powder (as needed), Vit E (as needed), Cod Liver Oil or Fish Oil Formula or Bio-Mega3 or Beyond Omega 3 (regularly. Of course I'm trying the different fish oils as I can afford them but Garden of Life and Bio sound very promising. Elderberry Concentrate/Vitamin C (regularly in fall/winter months), Olive Leaf Extract (rotational), Plant Enzymes (consistent with cooked food) and testing my PH with Urine PH Strips.
This along with a healthy diet should be adequate to help my system to regenerate healthy cells. It's staying in the balanced PH that is important.
Juicing is also part of my lifestyle and will go a long way in healing my body. Whatever my skin is lacking which is leading to eczema, I am hoping to restore.

When Indoor Air Humidity Goes Wrong
O.K. I am having such a difficult time regulating the indoor air humidity. We are now in the middle of a heat wave and the air conditioner will not stop. The air is dried out in here and my skin hates it. I have just plugged in the cold mist humidifier to help my dehydrated skin out. But this is ridiculous because it is way too humid outside. However, humidity of that nature causes my lungs to flare up resulting in asthma symptoms.
I found this article that explains the dilemma most people face but unfortunately I'm too sensitive to humidity shifts.

Of course dealing with dry air can cause lip chapping as well.
Here's how to heal chapped lips.

Cream
Wednesday, May 12, 2010

Last night and all day today I did not put any creams on my eczema at all and just waited it out. In the meantime I am juicing vegetables, cutting out animal products and plant-based foods to get my body cleansed from whatever is having difficulties getting out. I don't know how long I can do without fish or eggs but I will try my best for this week. The first photo is in the morning and the second one is in the evening without cream for 24 hours.
I believe this is eczema as I was told but it could be psoriasis - not sure. In any case, here is a cream that I will try if all else fails: Freederm Cream
The Ingredients are: Deionized Water, Cardiospermum Halicacabum, Echiumoil and Sunflower Oil Unsaponifiable, Shea butter, Aloe Barbadensis Extract, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-75 Stearate, Ceteth-20, Steareth-20, Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides, Cyclomethicone, Sodium Hyaluronate, Caprylyl Glycol & Phenoxyethanol & Hexylene glycol, Galactoarabinan, and Triethanolamine.
There is also homeopathy and nutrional support.
