Perimenopause

I guess I've reached that age between 45-55 where I am noticing symptoms more pronounced than previous years. I have found that keeping my diet very nutrient dense is so important and of course staying away from gluten has helped me tons.

Dr. Christine Northrup's book Women's Bodies Women's Wisdom is full of valuable information for us women as we age.

Here is a link from her website on perimenopause and the symptoms relating to hormonal changes in the body.

My Visit to Dr. Arnold

Well I met Dr. Arnold today. He listened to my story and read my formulated chart. I then received a prescription for estriol cream. I sure hope my insurance company covers it but I have my doubts. A 45 day amount cost $75. Apparently, I am to keep it in the fridge when not using it and then take out the required amount to come to room temperature 30 minutes before using it. Oh joy!

Here is an article which explains how estriol is the safest estrogen according to Dr. Lee.
